The Passaic County Department of Senior Services Aging & Disability Resource Connection (ADRC) offers a wide variety of services for seniors 55 years of age and up. Click here for further information.

Residents can sign up for Little Falls Township’s Reverse 9-1-1 system through the CodeRED Community Notification Enrollment (CNE). Signing up enables you to receive phone calls from the Township regarding urgent, emergency-based news. If you previously signed up with Global Connect, you do not have to sign up again.

Clean Water NJRain washes pollutants into storm drains and directly into our lakes, rivers and the ocean. So what can you do?

The Clean Water NJ website (www.cleanwaternj.org/) has plenty of helpful information about what you can do around the house, in the garden, and in the community to help reduce the amount of harmful contaminants in our water.

2015 Medicare Education Forum

Once again this Spring, Mike Cervine one of the volunteer SHIP counselors in Passaic County and a Senior Medicare Patrol (SMP) volunteer will be hosting a series of classes to better educate individuals of their choices in the Medicare program. The program has been updated for 2015 with more information on getting financial help through L.I.S., PAAD and Sr. Gold. This seminar is for those on Medicare, those about to go on Medicare, caregivers or anyone with an interest in Medicare and its features regardless of age.

Dates: April 15, 22 and 29 at 2:00p.m. - 3:30p.m., repeated from 7:00p.m. to 8:30p.m.

PSE&G reminds customers that LIHEAP deadline is April 30

Apply now to take advantage of free money to help pay gas & electric bills

(April 22, 2015 – Newark, NJ) – PSE&G reminds customers that Thursday, April 30, is the deadline to apply for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP).

The LIHEAP program helps pay electric or gas heating bills and, in some cases, medically necessary cooling expenses. PSE&G customers who meet the guidelines for LIHEAP typically receive about $300 toward their PSE&G bill. The application period for LIHEAP ends on April 30 and will reopen on Oct. 1.

Victorian Tea Party and Auction

On Saturday, May 16, 2015, at 12 Noon in Fellowship Hall, the United Methodist Women of Little Falls will be hosting their fourteenth annual Victorian Tea Party and Auction. Bring your favorite Tea Cup!! Quiche, salad, breads and dessert will be served. The fun continues with an auction of donated items and gift certificates from local businesses. Proceeds of the tea and auction will be used to fund their mission projects. Last year the UMW gave over $2000 to charity. Please help them continue their work.

The church hall is located at 139 Main Street, at the back of the Little Falls United Methodist Church. Tickets are available at $15 each. Advance ticket sales only, and tickets are limited. Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony, Saturday, May 23

Formation by Our Post home, 591 Main St., with the Little Falls Parade kicking off at 10 AM, marching down Main St. to Memorial Park. Calling on all Veterans, we would be honored to have you march with us!!

Free Eye Screening for Passaic County residents to be held in West Milford on May 26th

The New Jersey Commission for the Blind & Visually Impaired and the Passaic County Department of Health are offering a Free Eye Screening hosted by West Milford Township. The screening will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 from 10 am until 2 pm at the West Milford Health Dept. at 1480 Union Valley Road, West Milford, NJ.

American Legion Post 108 Hosts Concert with Bobby Valli

Bobby Valli will be performing at a Dinner and Show hosted by the Singac Memorial Post 108 on Saturday, May 30, singing songs made famous by his brother Frankie Valli and other Jersey Legends.

Featured songs: Can't take My Eyes Off You / My Eyes Adored You / Grease / Dawn / Ragdoll and many more, including songs by Frank Sinatra, The Young Rascals and The Duprees!

The Little Falls Tennis Courts are now open at Amity Field and Duva Field at Paterson Avenue. Tennis badges are required. Badges can be purchased only at the Little Falls Recreation Center. The fees are:

Adults: $10.00
Children: $5.00
Family membership: not to exceed $25.00

The Passaic County Office of Solid Waste & Recycling Programs has announced the following dates for its 2015 Household and Hazardous Waste Collection Program: Sunday, April 19th at the Passaic County Para-Transit Facility, 1310 Route 23 North in Wayne (behind Ski Barn); Saturday, June 6th at the West Milford Recycling Center, 30 Lycosky Drive, West Milford, NJ (off of Marshall Hill Rd.); and Saturday, October 3rd at the Passaic County Para-Transit Facility, 1310 Route 23 North in Wayne (behind Ski Barn). All events will be held from 9 am to 2 pm, rain or shine. This program is available FREE OF CHARGE to Passaic County residents only.
