As part of their electric reliability improvements in Passaic County, PSE&G will be performing underground work in the Township of Little Falls. PSE&G will be performing the following activities in this area.

PSE&G offers tips to stay cool and safe as heat and humidity rise

Public Service Electric and Gas Co. (PSE&G) offers simple and easy ways customers can stay cool and safe as temperatures and humidity rise during the season’s third official heat wave.

The state’s largest utility is also monitoring weather conditions and has additional personnel on hand to handle any power interruptions. PSE&G’s call centers also have extra personnel on duty to speak with customers. And appliance service technicians stand ready to quickly respond to an influx of air conditioning repair calls.

PSE&G Prepared for Thunderstorms, Offers Storm Preparation and Safety Tips

Public Service Electric and Gas Co. (PSE&G), New Jersey’s largest utility, closely monitors weather reports on the watch for thunderstorms which can be expected to push through the region during the heat of the summer months. “We take every storm with the potential for outages seriously, and have additional personnel scheduled and on standby, with auxiliary equipment at the ready,” said John Latka, senior vice president of electric and gas operations for PSE&G.

The possibility of high wind gusts, heavy rain and lightning associated with summer storms can be dangerous and cause power outages. PSE&G offers the following tips on how to prepare for, and be safe during, a storm.

Passaic County Brings Paper Shredding & Recycling Program Back to Lambert Castle

The Passaic County Office of Solid Waste & Recycling Programs will be holding its next Paper Shredding & Recycling Program in the parking lot of Lambert Castle, located at 3 Valley Road, Paterson, N.J. on Saturday, September 12, 2015 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, rain or shine. This program is free of charge to Passaic County residents who may bring up to 6 “banker’s boxes” worth of personal paper items to be confidentially shredded and recycled. Material accepted for shredding includes tax returns, credit card statements, old checks, medical documents, bank statements, utility bills, computer print-outs, copy paper (all colors), envelopes, letterhead and stationary.
